Amelia’s Boho Cake Smash

Amelia’s first birthday photoshoot was a bit of a boho cake smash with lots of neutrals and earthy tones, and of course an overload of cuteness. Her momma had contacted me several months in advance to book Amelia’s very special 1st birthday session and I was so excited to finally meet this beautiful family! As it often goes with little ones, we never quite know what we’re going to get. I let them take the lead and snapped away. There were some tears, but also lots of the cutest smiles. We started off with family photos, then gave Amelia’s big brothers a break while capturing some parents & baby shots. I cycled through some of my cutest outfits and headbands to add to the variety, then completed her 1st birthday photos with a cake smash and some tub time. After a session packed with a little bit of everything, I hope I captured a gallery her family will cherish forever.

Beautiful Victoria | Family photos with a newborn

As I write this, I have “Victoria” by the Kinks stuck in my head, specifically the scene from How I Met Your Mother where Ted meets Victoria. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you’re missing out (I love that show and have watched it many times, with and without my kids and husband who also love it). Anyway, steering away from a complete tangent and moving on to beautiful little Victoria’s newborn photos! I loved meeting her beautiful new little family. I strongly recommend doing family photos with a newborn photoshoot. These are photos I hope my clients will always treasure. In every session, and with every newborn photography package, I have clients fill out a questionnaire to let me know what photos they are hoping for. This includes allowing to capture family photos with baby, mom and baby, dad and baby, and sibling and baby shots (if baby has a sibling, of course).

Raelynn’s Sitter Session | 8 month old baby photos

A sitter session is an extra fun and extra cute photoshoot typically for 6-9 month old babies, so it was a perfect time for 8 month old baby photos for Raelynn. This phase is such a blast because babies are full of personality, can typically sit up well on their own (and of course crawling is often right around the corner, if not already started). Cutie Raelynn was just shy of 8 months old for her photoshoot and what an adorable baby model she is! I loved her cute pigtails and big brown eyes…not to mention her captivating smile! She smiled and clapped her way through some of the cutest photos ever and made the whole session such a breeze.

Viviana is 3 months old! | Mommy and Me Photos

Getting to photograph Viviana for her 3 month photos was such a treat after getting to capture her newborn photos a few months ago! Honestly, I couldn’t believe it when her momma told me she had just turned 3 months old. It felt like it was just yesterday that I got to meet her beautiful family for her newborn photoshoot. I think as I’m posting this, she actually just turned 4 months old, but I’m catching up on blogging this week and time keeps marching on as all these little ones keep growing!

With Mother’s Day less than a couple months away, I have Mommy and Me photos on my mind and I absolutely loved including lots of mommy-and-me shots in Viviana’s session! My sessions are fully customizable to choose the photos, shots and groupings clients want. I highly encourage moms to join in the photos with their little ones! I can’t emphasize enough how precious these photos will be for you and your child for years to come.

I also encourage baby milestone sessions! There is nothing sweeter than watching a baby grow and develop their personality. Viviana of course has the sweetest personality and is as beautiful as can be.

Mia’s 1st birthday photoshoot

Mia’s 1st birthday photoshoot exceeded my expectations, which is not surprising because she is an absolutely adorable baby. When her momma reached out to schedule her first birthday photos, I was so excited to see how much she had grown since her newborn session last year. Her mom warned me that she tends to be very scared of strangers (super common for babies and toddlers), and was hoping to get at least a few smiles and not too many tears. I set up my studio, put out all of my favorite extra cute 1st birthday items and props, and hoped for the best. Mia did not disappoint! In fact she was all smiles and personality and oh-so-very-cute!

I started off with some sweet portraits, then moved on to get some candid shots of Mia playing. She loved playing with my chair (it’s the perfect size for babies, and they love it) and showing off her standing skills. We ended the session with a cake smash, which is of course always a fun highlight for first birthday photos!

I always love doing first birthday photos and this session was one of my favorites to date! Now to show off so many favorites from this brown-eyed beauty…

Benjamin is turning one | Menifee 1st Birthday photoshoot

Handsome little Benjamin is turning one! His 1st birthday photoshoot was filled with smiles and so much personality! I got to capture his portraits, birthday outfit photos, and some Toy Story themed photos for his birthday party. I always love meeting new clients, and meeting Benjamin and his momma was extra special because I learned they live in my neighborhood.

Newborn Twins | Cade and Elaina

Newborn twins … need I say more?!? Cade and Elaina are absolutely perfect and were so fun to photograph! They were born about 5 weeks early via emergency C-section, and then their momma ended up back in the hospital for a bit after their birth… these are just some of the hurdles this sweet and beautiful family overcame to make this session extra special. It means so much to me to be able to work with these amazing families and their much-anticipated little ones.

Being a Christmas Birthday Baby is so special! Adorable Christopher’s momma contacted me several months ago about doing a Christmas themed birthday photoshoot to celebrate his big day — turning one on Christmas! When his session finally rolled around, I couldn’t believe how quickly this year flew by! Getting to incorporate a Christmas theme into this session was so much fun. Christopher got to end the session in my little baby tub which he and every baby LOVES, always making for some cute shots.

What a handsome little prince! Jacob’s newborn photos were extra special after getting to do his beautiful momma’s maternity photos a couple months ago! This beautiful family lives near me in Audie Murphy Ranch. They chose to make baby number three a surprise and Jacob made boy number three for them! And let me tell you, they are all the cutest, sweetest boys.
