Newborn Twins to “Halfway to One” Session | Temescal Valley Twin Baby Photography

Welcoming twins is already a life-changing experience, and when it’s a boy and a girl, there’s a special kind of balance to it—two distinct little personalities sharing the very first chapter of life together. Capturing that beginning during their newborn session, and then watching them grow into their 6-month “halfway to one” milestone, was such a fun treat with these adorable twins.


A Newborn Session Full of Connection

Newborn sessions with twins naturally take a little more time and patience, but they also bring double the sweetness. I always like to get shots of the babies together and separately. Individual photos highlight each baby’s unique features. Photographing them together is always a cute way to show them nestled side by side, naturally settling into each other’s presence in a way that's all they've known so far. It's so special to capture that earliest bond. An added bonus was getting to capture a few shots with their parents and grandmother.


The “Halfway to One” Six-Month Session

Fast forward six months, and everything had changed in the best way. The sleepy newborn stage had turned into alert, curious babies who were eager to look around and interact. The 6-month milestone—often called “halfway to one”—is such a fun stage to photograph because babies are full of expression. For these twins, it was especially sweet to see how they had grown both together and individually. Side-by-side portraits showed their connection was still strong, but each baby was clearly stepping into their own little personality.
