Newborn sessions can be scheduled any time after your 1st trimester. If your baby has already arrived, contact me anyway! I’m always happy to fit clients in if my schedule allows. For all other sessions, please reach out any time — the sooner the better.
Under 3 weeks is the best rule of thumb to capture those extra sleepy brand-new-baby photos! However, newborn sessions can be done up to 6-8 weeks old or so depending on the baby (especially preemies, as they can be scheduled based on their adjusted age rather than their birth date.).
Deluxe newborn sessions are a full session with unlimited time (usually 2-3 hours). They can include family, parent, and/or sibling shots (for no extra cost) if you would like. I can usually capture more of a variety including swaddles, outfits, props, or anything you choose. A Mini Newborn session is up to 1 hour and for baby only, with more simple shots and setups. I also offer an In-Home Lifestyle Newborn Session for those wanting a relaxed photoshoot that captures authentic moments in the comfort of their own home.
In Deluxe Newborn sessions or In-Home Lifestyle Newborn sessions — absolutely! There is no extra cost to include baby’s parents or siblings in Deluxe or In-Home Lifestyle Newborn sessions. Family and sibling shots tend to take more time, especially if toddlers are involved, so I always start with those shots at the beginning of the session. Each booking includes a questionnaire to fill out, where you can indicate if you’d like to add family, parent, and/or sibling shots.
When you book a newborn session, I’ll send you my Newborn Session Guide to help you prepare for your photoshoot. This includes tips on what to wear. I always recommend a NEUTRAL palette of colors. Neutral is timeless and photographs beautifully. All-white is especially gorgeous and classic in baby photos. Cream, beige, tans, muted earth tones or muted pastels are always lovely too. Great options include dresses, blouses, sweaters, or button-down shirts paired with khakis or jeans. If you have any questions about outfits, I’m happy to chat!

I love photographing multiples! I recommend scheduling a Deluxe Session for twins or multiples, but feel free to contact me to discuss which session option would be best.
Your baby’s health and safety is my utmost priority. My studio is closed off to the rest of my home and thoroughly cleaned after each session, including washing all items used. I stay up to date on flu shots and immunizations and will reschedule sessions if I become ill. I also ask clients to reschedule if anyone is sick.
Your session fee reserves your spot on my calendar and includes your session time and up to 10 photos of your choice to download. Optional additional images can be purchased if you’d like: À la carte photos for $15 each, or upgrade to downloading your Complete Collection (entire gallery of 30+ photos) for an additional $300. The images you select include a Print Release to print your selections wherever you’d like. However, I strongly recommend ordering prints and printed products directly through your gallery to ensure quality results.
All content is captured in RAW format to ensure the highest quality during editing. Final downloads are delivered as full-resolution JPG files. RAW files are not included or provided.
Besides raising my own three kids, I’ve been photographing newborns, babies, and children since 2008! I love how adorably genuine and candid little ones are.
Within about a week after your session, you’ll receive an email with a semi-edited watermarked gallery from which you’ll select your favorite photos. Your selected images will be hand edited to give them some pop and polish, and will be ready to download within 10 days after selections are made.
My style is more baby-led posing, meaning I have a more natural approach to newborn photos and try not to overly pose them. Every newborn photographer is different, so please take a look around at my galleries or ask me about anything specific to make sure my style is the right fit for what you’re hoping for your baby’s photos.
Yes, my studio has it’s own private restroom just for clients.
Yes! I love doing cake smash photos and they can be included in any baby session. Click here for info. I also offer a short & sweet Mini Cake Smash session option. I have a lot of decor for cake smash sessions, but you’re always welcome to bring your own decor. You will need to provide the cake. I also have a couple of baby tubs for cute bath shots after the cake smash if you’d like — babies love it! Milk, fruit, or flower baths are some additional ways to customize baby tub photos, so let me know in advance if you’d like any of these options.
I offer in-studio maternity sessions which can be booked here.
I prefer to use studio lighting for consistent, crisp lighting, so most sessions are done in my home studio. This also allows clients full access to all of my props, wraps, baby outfits, headbands and hats/bonnets, etc. However, I do offer an In-Home Lifestyle Newborn session option or if you would like an in-home lifestyle session for babies, children, maternity or family, please contact me to discuss details. Travel fees apply depending on distance.
While my booking calendar only shows weekday mornings, I completely understand that doesn’t work for everyone! I can sometimes accommodate weekend morning/early afternoon bookings, so please contact me to discuss availability.
I’ve offered outdoor sessions in the past, but I’m exclusively offering indoor sessions now. I love the consistency of studio lighting and enjoy not having to worry about keeping tabs on the weather or traffic.
Each session booking includes a questionnaire that allows clients to specify whether they are comfortable with having photos from their session shared online or if they would prefer to keep them private. I always respect client’s wishes!
All costs are non-negotiable and non-refundable. However, if you need to cancel, your payment is refundable BEFORE your session minus a small credit card fee which is charged to me when you book.
Yes! Tax is already included in all listed costs.
