San Jacinto 1st Birthday Photography | Leap Day Baby Girl
Sharing a throwback to a sweet girl who holds a pretty special title—she’s a Leap Day baby! Being born on February 29th already makes her story unique, and I loved getting to photograph her newborn and first birthday photos before I moved to Southern California.
I first met this family when I photographed her big sister as a newborn, and later again for her first birthday session. Getting to reconnect with them to meet their second baby girl was especially sweet, especially seeing her big sister—who I first met when she was just as tiny—now stepping into her role as a big sister. Side note: The gorgeous flower crowns their mama brings always add such a lovely touch to their photos.
As a newborn, she was so sleepy and dreamy, and I loved her little hints of smiles. She was such a calm newborn and it was easy to capture a variety of adorable newborn photos.
By the time her first birthday rolled around, she had grown into such a happy, playful little girl. From start to finish, her cake smash session was full of the cutest smiles and those absolutely captivating, beautiful eyes.
It’s always such a privilege to look back and see how much changes in just one short year.
