Meeting little Tukáamawish and his parents was such a treat! He is such a handsome little guy with the coolest name. His parents brought him in a perfect neutral knit outfit for his portraits, which photographed beautifully and added such a cozy feel to the session. I highly recommend neutral colors and soft knits to give photos a soft, timeless vibe.

I especially loved the photo collage his parents brought to commemorate and celebrate his first year of life. I’d love to incorporate this idea on a larger scale more often — a great idea is to order a custom blanket featuring a collection of photos from baby’s first year. I always love making time for a few updated family portraits, so I snapped some sweet family photos of Tukáamawish with his parents before we moved into the cake smash portion of the session. Tukáamawish decided to use the cake topper as a spoon, which was so clever and funny!
