A couple of years ago, I got to meet this beautiful family when they welcomed baby number three — their very first boy after two big sisters. I was especially excited to meet them because mom is also the sister of my son’s longtime girlfriend.


Watching the girls proudly love on their new baby brother during that session was so sweet, and it was even more special getting to see everyone again recently for the arrival of baby number four: a tiny, beautiful baby girl. Their newest addition is so beautiful, and her older siblings were completely smitten with her.


The tiny baby boy I had photographed a couple of years ago is now full of personality and looks so much like his dad. Dad wasn’t able to attend his newborn session, so it was fun to meet him for baby girl’s session. Comparing the photos from a couple years apart is something I hope this beautiful family will treasure as their kids continue to grow.


Newborn photography is about so much more than just the baby — it’s about preserving your family exactly as it is right now, in this fleeting season of life. I’m incredibly thankful to families who keep coming back to me through the years and allowing me to document these memories for them.
